Africa Legal & Tech Network Summit 2019
The Nigerian Chapter of the ALT Network will host the inaugural West African summit in Lagos on September 19, 2019 following on the success of the first ALT summit in Uganda earlier this year. The theme of the Lagos summit is “Addressing Technological Disruption in Law and Business.” The summit seeks to bring together key players within the law and technology ecosystems, including legal jurists, legal practitioners, innovators, legal technologists, academics, law students, regulators, Nigerian tech companies and other stakeholders.
The summit will cover key topics relating to technological disruption of legal and other sectors such as big data, artificial intelligence, fintech, agrotech, healthtech, building appropriate regulatory frameworks, online dispute resolution, privacy and data protection, cybersecurity, access to justice, legaltech automation, blockchain. These issues are at the core of ongoing conversations around innovation and disruption within the legal and technology ecosystems.
The summit has been organised in collaboration with the Lagos Chamber of Commerce International Arbitration Centre (LACIAC) and LawPavilion and is supported by Africa Legal Practice (ALP), Lawyard, Garnet Law Practice, FINT, Everlaw Associates, Duale, Ovia, Alex-Adedipe (DOA), AELEX, SPA Ajibade & Co and Famsville Solicitors.
